Donna L. Webb

MILFORD - Donna L. Webb passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Donna was born in Milford on November 1, 1948, the daughter of Carrie (Burns) Messick and the late Leon F. Messick. Before becoming a full time homemaker, Donna was employed as part of the clerical staff in the office of the Delaware State Police Headquarters in Dover. Donna had a passion for writing and illustrating, one of her earliest accomplishments was a children's book. Although she never published any of her work, her literary compositions will always be a source of pride to her family. She also loved flowers. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Carter. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Richard C. Webb; her mother, Carrie M. Messick of Milford; a sister, Kay Vansant of Harrington; three step-sons, Jamie Webb and Jodie Webb, both of Milton, and Jeff Webb of Milford; a step-daughter, Michele Webb of Milton; four step-grandchildren, and one step- great grandchild. Services were held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford. Burial will follow the service at the Milford Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read's Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE, 19720.
