Donald Lee Olliver

DOVER - Donald Lee Olliver of Dover passed away, Monday Aug. 17, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Don was born June 20, 1935 in Dover, Del. to the late Fred Olliver and Catherine Zauss Olliver. He graduated from Dover High School in 1953, where he was very active in all sports and was an Eagle Scout. He served in the United States Army and served in Korea. He worked for Delaware Department of Transportation for 40 years, retiring in 1995. Don was a member of Dover Elks Lodge. He enjoyed gardening, collecting Snow Angels, and especially loved Christmas, decorating his tree with many crystals. Don was a coach and manager of Camden/Wyoming Little League and the Pony League. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 11 siblings. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Priscilla McClenahan Olliver of Dover; sons, Brian L. Olliver and Scott A. Olliver both of Dover; sister, Verna James of Wilmington and grandson, Chase Andrew Olliver. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 10 - 12. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Peoples Church of Dover, 46 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
