ONANCOCK, Va. - Donald Faw Marshall, 71, passed away surrounded by his family at his son's home on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 in Woolford.

Born a Cambridge native on July 31, 1936, he was the son of the late Donald C. Marshall and Willa Lane Lankford Marshall. He was educated in the Dorchester County Schools and then subsequently served his country in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. Upon being honorably discharged, he married the former Helen Jane Meredith and began an extensive career in the electronics industry.

Don joined Airpax Electronics in its earliest stage ultimately becoming Sales and Marketing Manager. He initially served in the same capacity under the ownership of N.V. Phillips and then moved to Europe to establish sales operations in Brussels, Belgium and Frankfurt, Germany.

Don traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.

Retiring in 1993 to Schooner Bay in Onancock, Va., he became an avid boater, fisherman and involved himself in his community's affairs.

Don's greatest joys in retirement were sitting on his porch looking at the water, doing projects for his children and serving as chauffer and Pop Pop to his grandchildren.

Don is survived by his son, Duane Marshall and special daughter-in-law, Lynne and their children, Brittany, Tyler and Hillary; a daughter, Denise and her partner, Susan and their children, Anna and Allison; two brothers, Charles L. Marshall and R. Wayne Marshall; two sisters, Betty Lou Bateman and Jane Wright; special sisters, Sylvia Trice and Howardene Brem; and same as grandchildren, Brandon and Meghan Wingate.

The family will receive friends Monday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Secretary. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery with Military Honors in Hurlock.
