Donald Edward Cranfield

SEAFORD - Donald Edward Cranfield passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at his home. Born in Milford, the son of the late Jennie M. King and Reverend Edgar P. Cranfield. He was a machinist working out of Local 2012. He was an Army Veteran, a member of Nanticoke Post 6 American Legion and Virgil Wilson Post 4961 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Donald is survived by his wife, Georgianna Green Cranfield; a daughter, Kimberly Fischer and her husband Richard of Lewes; a stepson, Frank Morris and his wife Judy of Seaford; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Melvin Morris. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front & King Sts., Seaford, where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Mid-Atlantic Division, 1138 Parsons Rd., Salisbury, MD 21801.
