HARRINGTON — Ronald L. McBroom, 31, of Greenwood, was arrested Tuesday on a strangulation charge after a domestic incident on Cozy Woods Circle, authorities said.
Harrington police spokesman Capt. Adam Gillespie said officers were told that Mr. McBroom allegedly choked a person in what began as a verbal altercation. The person was holding their infant child when the altercation became physical, authorities said. Mr. McBroom then began causing damage inside the residence before departing the scene, according to police.
Mr. McBroom was later taken into custody. He was presented at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and charged with strangulation, endangering the welfare of a child, offensive touching, and criminal mischief. Mr. McBroom was released from custody after posting $2,700 secured bond.
