DOVER - Deloris J. Finfinger, of Dover, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at her daughter's home. She was 78. Mrs. Finfinger was born June 17, 1933, in Lincoln, Neb., to the late Robert and Marie Shepard, one of seven children. She was a homemaker and enjoyed Bingo. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was an avid Caesar Rodney sports fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo D. Finfinger, 2/5/11; son, Michael D. Finfinger, 11/27/04; and five siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Dotson and her husband Bill of Camden; sons, Robert Finfinger and his wife Margaret of Sunbury, Pa., Frank Finfinger and his wife Laurie Berry of San Antonio, Texas, James Finfinger and his wife Brenda of Boerne, Texas, Patrick Finfinger of Dover, David Finfinger and his wife Rochelle of Magnolia; sister, Evelyn Fields of Nebraska; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and special friends Linda, Tom, and Claudine. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday evening. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Dr., #101, Newark, DE 19713. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com.
