Della (Mills) Justice, 85

TEMPERANCEVILLE, Va. - Della (Mills) Justice of Temperanceville died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at the Hartley Hall Nursing Home of Pocomoke City, Md. She was 85.

Della was born April 27, 1922, in Accomack County, to the late Isabella and Jasper Mills.

She received her education in the Accomack County public school system.

Della met and married the late Milton Justice, and to this union was born Milton Lee, Larry Wayne and Perry James.

She was a hard-working woman and always provided for her family. She was a faithful and devoted wife.

Della was also known for her kindhearted spirit and giving personality, which extended throughout her work and church.

She was a faithful servant in the church and she loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart. She served as a trustee and on various choirs and committees in the Jerusalem Baptist Church of Temperanceville.

Della loved to read the Bible and her favorite scriptures were John 14:1,6 and the 23rd Psalm.

She loved to cook for family and friends.

Della also loved to see people happy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wayne Justice.

She leaves to cherish her passing her beloved sons and daughters-in-law, Milton (Gloria) Justice of New Castle, Del., and Perry (Gay) Justice of Fruitland, Md.; one sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Justice of New Church; a devoted niece, Geneva J. Godwin of Wattsville; and a host of other nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may attend a viewing Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Pocomoke City.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Jerusalem Baptist Church, Temperanceville, where friends may call two hours prior to the service for a public viewing. The Rev. Dr. Michael Thomas Scott Sr. will officiate the service.

Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
