Delaware’s proposed FY27 state employee raise is lower than national average, though vacancies are decreasing

According to a February release by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, state and local government employees across the country saw a 3.4% increase in compensation; a 3.5% change in wages and salaries; and a 3.8% raise in benefits year-over-year as of last December.
