DOVER — The inability to hold in-person fundraisers due to COVID-19 did not hamper Heroes for Hooters’ fundraising efforts.

Over the last two years, the group — which began in 2013 as a supporter for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer effort — continued to help local organizations and will be resuming public events, kicking off with a fundraiser Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. at American Legion Walter L. Fox Post 2, Dover.

Music will be provided by Scooby Walker and the Boys. Heroes for Hooters is seeking donations for T-shirts, which will feature the names of supporters on the back.
