Delaware Technical Community College graduation

DOVER — The Terry Campus kicked off the first of three commencement ceremonies at Delaware Technical Community College Monday night. It’s the college’s 48th annual commencement. There were 375 graduates.

Delaware Tech alumnus Terry L. Pepper, commissioner at-large on the Kent County Levy Court, was the speaker at the Dover commencement. Mr. Pepper, of Magnolia, is a lifelong Delawarean raised on a farm in the Hartly area, .

Penny Short, chief operating officer of Nanticoke Health Services, is the commencement speaker for the Owens Campus ceremony in Georgetown at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Stanton and George campuses will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the University of Delaware’s Bob Carpenter Sports Center in Newark. Lolita A. Lopez, president & CEO of Westside Family Healthcare, is the speaker.

Delaware Technical Community College is a statewide multi-campus community college establish in 1966. The first campus opened in Sussex County in September 1967 with 367 students enrolled.
