As Delaware State Police troopers continue to celebrate the agency’s 100th anniversary, the division has added several “throwback” patrol vehicles to its active fleet.
In a news release, Trooper Rauchan Rich said that eight varied vehicle schemes will patrol the highways, neighborhoods and business districts of Delaware for the remainder of the centennial year.
Six of the retro designs on the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoes are in the likeness of state police vehicles from the 1930s to the 1980s.
In addition, the agency has deployed several Tahoes with centennial graphics to commemorate the anniversary.
Trooper Rich said the SUVs are equipped with all the modern-day equipment troopers need to uphold the laws of the First State and ensure the safety of residents and visitors.
