This week, we got the daily schedule for when artists will play at the Firefly Music Festival at the Woodlands of Dover Sept. 22 to 25. Although there no times assigned yet.

It was also announced this week that one-day passes will go on sale today. No details on pricing however.

Halsey will headline Thursday’s slate along with Jamie XX, Jungle, Willow and 100 Gecs.

Friday will see My Chemical Romance Weezer, Big Sean, Zedd, Avril Lavigne and All Time Low.

Saturday has Green Day, Porter Robinson, Haim, Seven Lions, Bleachers and The Head and the Heart.

This is the 10th anniversary of the festival. For details on tickets, the full lineup and a 10th anniversary contest, visit FireflyFestival.com.

Ladybug lineup

We also found out recently who is playing the all-female Ladybug Festival in Milford on July 30.

It will be headlined by Latin artist Eljuri. Touted as one of the top Latina guitar players in the world, she just released her fifth studio album “Reflexión”.

She has also released four critically acclaimed solo albums: “En Paz” (2008), “Fuerte” (2012), “La Lucha” (2016) and “Resiste” (2019).

Other artists include Lauren and the Homewreckers, Melissa Mengago, You Do You, Rachael Sage and The Sequins, Briana Judge and Caroline Hermance.

With a scheduled rain date of Sunday, July 31, this festival and the Ladybug in Wilmington held earlier in the year is the largest free celebration of women in music in the country.

The inaugural event drew an estimated 2,500-3,000 attendees into Downtown Milford in September of 2018, with many attendees. The second event drew 4,000-5,000 in attendance. With COVID-19 health concerns, the events were canceled in 2020 and 2021.

This year’s festival will be held in Downtown Milford, with Walnut Street closed off to vehicle traffic from Southeast to Northeast Front Street, as well as a large portion of Park Avenue. The Main Stage on Walnut Street is at the intersection of Park Avenue.

There will be over 35 live music performances at 10 indoor and outdoor venues, with music from 2 to 9 p.m. The event is appropriate for all ages. There will be plenty of food trucks, adult libations, and craft vendors.Lineup, schedule and map are available at Theladybugfestival.com.
