WILMINGTON — Widener University has announced that Shoshana Kohn-Kutny has joined Delaware Law School as its communications manager.
She joined the school in January after spending three years in a similar role for the Middle States Association, Philadelphia.
In her new position, Ms. Kohn-Kutny is responsible for increasing the visibility and reputation of the institution through brand storytelling and media relations across traditional and digital platforms.
Her role cultivates relationships with school leadership, faculty, staff and students to develop communications and public relations initiatives. She reports to Widener’s executive director of communications, Mary Allen.
Ms. Kohn-Kutny holds an undergraduate degree in business and technical writing from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in Jewish studies, with a certificate in Holocaust studies, from Gratz College.
Before her time at Middle States — where she was a founding member of its diversity, equity and inclusion committee — her experience includes teaching creative writing and English at Delaware Technical Community College and Goldey-Beacom College.
Additionally, she worked as the editor-in-chief of Jewish Voice and as the communications outreach manager for DETV, Wilmington.
