The following are area Halloween activities:

Frightland Haunted Attractions: 6 to 9 p.m., opens Oct. 9, runs through Nov. 5. Located in Middletown, featuring 8 unique haunted attractions including a 1 mile long Haunted Hayride, four indoor haunted houses and more. Visit frightland.com for details and operating times.

BOO! at the Zoo: 7 to 9 p.m. Friday & Saturday night, through Oct. 29 Three Palms Zoo and Education Center, 1060 Vandyke Greenspring Road, Townsend. The zoo will have a graveyard, ghosts, pumpkins, skeletons, witches, and a few other surprises along the way. Guests can also enjoy a hay ride around the zoo’s perimeter including around the cow pasture, field, and farmhouse. Family friendly spookiness. This is also an opportunity to see the zoo’s nocturnal animals, red, silver, & gray foxes, raccoon, coyote, skunk, & screech owl, awake and active in their habitats. Warm cider and marshmallows for roasting will be provided. Admission: $5 per person. Hay Ride: $2 per person. Additional donations help to provide for & rescue animals. Visit www.3palmszoo.org.

Children’s Halloween Fantasy Trail: 2 to 4 p.m., Brecknock County Park, 80 Old Camden Road, Camden. Complimentary trick-or-treat bags filled with candy will be given at the end of the trail. Designed for children ages 2 to 7. Follow event on Facebook.

MONDAY, OCT. 17

Ghost Tour of Sussex County: 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., Rehoboth library, 226 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth. Dr. Carol Pollio to give presentation on her various paranormal findings. Go to delawarelibraries.libcal.com/event/8117653 to register.

A Not So Scary Halloween Party: 5 p.m., 12322 Willow Grove Road, Camden, This event is free to the community, but does require a registration. Featuring pumpkin painting, food, games, and a princess photo op. New costumes available for children in the community that are in need. MMC Trunk Or Treat 2022: 5 to 6:30 p.m., Modern Maturity Center, 1121 Forrest Ave., Dover. Safe alternative to trick or treat. Free and open to the public.

4th Annual Trunk or Treat: 6 to 8 p.m., 35943 Zion Church Road, Frankford. The Roxana Volunteer Fire Company will be providing hot dogs, chips, and water as well as collecting canned goods. Businesses is interested in to participating with a “trunk” should contact Heather Brasure at 302-362-7402.
