RIDGELY - Our beloved David went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 10, 2015 as a result of an untimely logging accident. He was born on March 7, 1971 in Easton, to Robert A. and Linda M. Ross of Ridgely. David was an Engineman with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, serving them for over 20 years. He was captain of his own sport fishing business known as Linda Mae Charters. He also owned and operated David W. Ross Logging. He was a lifetime member of the Ridgely Volunteer Fire Company. Being quick witted David enjoyed every minute of his life doing the things he enjoyed. He made friends with everyone he met and had a way of making others feel like they had known him forever. In addition to his work life he enjoyed hunting all over the US and Canada, building homes, celebrating with family and friends that not only included his immediate family but his waterman family of Tilghman Island and his firefighting family as well. He would help others anyway that he could, having a positive influence on each and every person he met. He left the world a better place just by being "Dave". In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Terri Ross; brother, Robert A. Ross and wife, Debbie;nephews, Nicholas and Christian Ross all of Ridgely; many aunts, uncles and cousins and his faithful Shepard Claudia. Funeral services for Dave will be on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Denton. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the church. Burial will be in the Ridgely Cemetery following the service.
