GOSHEN, Ind. - David S. Yoder, of Goshen, Ind., formerly of Greenwood, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010. He was 91. David was born Nov. 18, 1919, in Greenwood to David S. and Savilla Bender Yoder Sr. He worked as an X-Ray Technician for over 50 years, retiring in the late 1990's. David was a member of Laws Mennonite Church in Milford. He served in CPS at Greystone Park, N.J., and also mission work in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a self-taught man, widely read, studying the Scriptures intensively. David found enjoyment, relaxation, and satisfaction in vegetable gardening. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara in 2003; two sisters, Ruth Bontrager and Naomi Yoder; four brothers, John, Amos, and twins Mark and Luke. He is survived by four children and spouses, Ilva and David Hertzler of Milford, Karen and Steve Miller of Goshen, Ind., Don and Marlene Yoder of Pulaski, Va., and Ken and Kathy Yoder of Quakertown, Pa.; two grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Miriam Hull of Wythville, Va.; three brothers, Daniel Yoder of Dover, Paul T. and Daisy Yoder of Harrisonburg, Va., and Jesse and Gladys Yoder of Dover. Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at the Greenwood Mennonite Church and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church.
