David S. Schlott was born in Reading, PA and passed away on January 12, 2014 at his home in Milford, DE. He was 88. He served 22 years in the USN from 1942 till 1962 and 1965 till 1967. He held many duty stations; he served aboard the USS Wisconsin during WWII, with the marines during the Korean Conflict and Lemoore NAS hospital during Vietnam. After the service he worked as a manager at Central Valley Cotton Gin in Hanford, CA, until he moved his family to Milford in 1977. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jacqueline (Jones) Schlott; daughter, Mary CS Patterson and her husband Clark; and his favorite grandson, Logan Patterson all living in Delaware. He is also survived by a son, Michael Houck living in Portland, Oregon. Services will be private. Interment will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Delaware Hospice and Slaughter Beach Memorial Fire Company 89. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
