MILFORD - David 'Troy' Nichols, of Louisville, Ky. went home to be with our heavenly father on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born in Milford, on Sept. 20, 1969 to parents who loved him dearly, David L. and Ginger Schuler-Nichols. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, David W. and Evelyn Dean-Nichols; his maternal grandparents, Bud and Dot Potter-Schuler; and his Uncle, Buddy Schuler, Jr. Troy worked for Lowe's Building Products for many years and upon leaving their employ went to work for Norandex where he held many positions. At the time of his passing he was a sales manager, having just been presented with salesman of the year. What a special loving father he was. He loved playing sports with his sons and teaching them how to throw a football and baseball. Left behind to cherish his memory are his parents; his wife, Nickie Bland-Nichols; his children, Cole, Camden, Katie, Trevor, and DJ; his sister, Jodi Nichols-Arthur and her husband Rick; nieces, Cassie, Abbie, Dorie; and a great nephew who was just born June 15, 2012 and who did not get the opportunity to meet his wonderful great-uncle Troy; a close cousin, John E. Greenly of Del., gave the eulogy; and a close uncle, Terry L. Nichols of Del.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will love him and miss him forever. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Friday, July 13, 2012. Funeral services were held at the Highland Funeral home on Taylorsville Rd, Lou., KY., on Sat., July 14, 2012, with Rev. Robert Tregor officiating. Entombment followed at The Calvary Cemetery, Lou., KY.
