SMYRNA - David L. Klinger went to be with the Lord on Jan. 14, 2013 at home. Dave was born Dec. 2, 1936 in Williamstown, Pa. to the late Claire G. and Ethel Feree Klinger. He served his country in the Coast Guard and United States Army. Dave owned J & D Provisions for many years. Dave worked for Boeing Helicopters in Ridley Park, Pa. retiring in 2001 after 15 yrs. He came to know the Lord as his personal savior 9/23/95. He was a member of Middletown Baptist Church where he loved working for the Lord and the Amazing Grace Outreach. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James C. Klinger Sr. and Donald Klinger; his baby sister, Joyce; and his beloved nephew, James C. Klinger Jr. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra & Mark Urian of Clayton; his grandchildren brought so much joy to his life, grandson, Jacob (Melissa) Urian of Clayton, granddaughters, Amanda (Dustin) Fairley of Fairbury, Neb., and Rebecca Urian at home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Delaware 4-H Foundation, 113 Townsend Hall, 531 S. College Avenue, Newark, DE 19716-2210 Letters of condolences may be sent, and guestbook sighed at torbertfuneral.com.
