David K. Conrad, formerly of New Cumberland, Pa., passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017. He passed peacefully at his home with his loving wife of 67 years, Donna Fetrow Conrad at his side. He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on March 10, 1929 to the late John L. and Helene M. Conrad. David was a 1947 graduate of New Cumberland High School and attended Gettysburg College. For many years, David was a real estate developer and home builder in the Harrisburg area. With his passion for the water and for boating, David felt fortunate to finish his career owning and operating Conrad's Marine Basin in Goldsboro, Pennsylvania where he raised his family for 25 years. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberlea Conrad and his brother, John L. Conrad, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Donna Fetrow Conrad; his son, David K. Conrad, Jr. and his daughter-in-law Susan Conrad; brother-in-law, George H. Fetrow; sister-in-law, Sandy House Fetrow; sister-in-law Janice Fetrow Stewart; granddaughters, Laura and Elizabeth Conrad; step-granddaughters Sarah Beck and Emily Wernsdorfer and many nieces and nephews. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being provided by Melson's Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, Delaware. Burial will be privately held at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 would be greatly appreciated.
