In his youth, David was a standout athlete and all-star baseball player whose remarkable fastball was clocked at 98 mph, earning him a tryout with the major leagues. Athletics came naturally to him, but what people remembered most was not only his talent, but also his charisma, humor, and generous heart.
David had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and would have gladly welcomed every dog he met into his home. He was known for his optimistic outlook, playful nature, and ability to make others smile. Even as he aged, he maintained a childlike curiosity and enthusiasm for life that drew people to him.
A creative and artistic soul, David expressed himself through many artistic mediums and found joy in imagination and creation. Whether through art, humor, or conversation, he left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him.
David’s devotion to his family was unwavering throughout his life. No matter the distance or circumstance, he remained deeply loyal to those he loved, always offering support, encouragement, laughter, and companionship. Family meant everything to him, and his presence brought warmth, humor, and connection to every gathering.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David H. Coppock Sr. and Alice M. Coppock, and his nephew, Ernest M. Salaz Jr.
David is survived by his beloved son, David A. Moseder; his grandson, Kaden Moseder, both of Dover, Delaware; his siblings, Bonita M. Fraley of Deming, New Mexico, Brenda L. Coppock of Milford, Delaware, John F. Coppock (Laura) of Elk, Washington, and Crystal L.
