“Stuff the Bus 25th Anniversary Logo Challenge” is the theme for DART’s annual poster contest.
Open to children grades 6-12, the contest encourages students to learn more about public transportation and its benefits, as well as offers the chance to see their artwork featured by DART in various advertisements and displays.
Every year, DART partners with the Food Bank of Delaware for its annual Stuff the Bus Thanksgiving Food Drive, striving to collect a generous amount of nonperishable food items to help Delawareans in need.
This year, the goal is to collect 25 tons of food to match the anniversary, and DART is encouraging students to create a logo that celebrates those 25 years.
To date, the Delaware Transit Corp., with the help of employees, riders, businesses and the public, has collected 520,000 pounds of food — 260 tons.
Posters must be submitted by March 25 to DART Poster Contest, Marketing Department, 119 Lower Beech St., Wilmington, DE 19805. A $50 Visa gift card will be awarded to the grand-prize winner, and $25 Visa gift cards will be given to each grade-level winner.
Interested schools are asked to conduct the contest and forward the entries to DART for judging. Individuals who wish to enter apart from their schools may do so if they are in grades 6-12. For details, call 302-576-6143 or visit here.
