SALISBURY - Daniel L. King died Thurs., May 14, 2015, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Dover, he was the son of Mary B. King of Snow Hill and the late Leroy O. King. A 1973 graduate of Snow Hill High School, he received Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston University. Further studies at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore resulted in his receiving a Master's degree in Counseling. His employment included: owner of the former Shear Perfection Salon in Salisbury and former employee of the J.W. Marriott Corp. in Wilmington. He was also employed for Delaware Technical & Community College, where he served as Dean over Corporate and Community Programs (Wilmington/Stanton Campus) and retired as a college counselor at their Georgetown Campus. He was also formerly employed as the assistant basketball coach to Ward Lambert at Salisbury University and assistant women's basketball coach at University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. He was a member of New Dimensions Ministries in Salisbury, where he served as a Trustee, former vice-president of the Men of Power. Two siblings, Darlene "Angel" King and Allan King preceded him in death. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patricia A. Jolley of Salisbury; two children, Ryanne and Edwin Lashley; five siblings: Kazi Toure' of Boston, Arnold King of Norfolk, Dr. Marva King of Wilmington, John King of Randallstown, and Kelly King of Philadelphia; three uncles; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Wed., May 20, 2015, at New Dimensions Ministries in Salisbury. Interment followed in Parsons Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury.
