GEORGETOWN - Dale E. Elmore, a resident of Georgetown since 2004, formerly of Austin, Texas, passed away on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of the late Jesse and Lillie Bell (Warren) Elmore. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corp. He was a truck driver for 35 years with Sea-Land Freight Service, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed yard work, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Tracy Lee Elmore. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janel Hunter Elmore; two children, Wayne Elmore of Dover and Neil Elmore of Georgetown; one sister, Jean Capell of Ariz.; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Eagle Wings Ministry, 3941 Denneys Road, Dover, DE 19901. Burial will be private. Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
