DOVER — D.J. Cox has announced his candidacy for Kent County recorder of deeds. Mr. Cox, a Kent County native, graduated from Lake Forest High School, followed by Delaware Technical Community College where he received a degree in criminal justice.
Mr. Cox and his wife, Tiffanie, live in Frederica with their two children, ages 5 and 2. Mr. Cox is a local truck driver and his wife teaches in the Capital School District.
“It would be an honor to follow in the footsteps of Betty Lou McKenna,” Mr. Cox said.
“She has done an amazing job during her tenure as recorder of deeds. She leaves big shoes to fill but I promise to do my best to keep the Recorder of Deeds running smoothly and efficiently while serving my community.”
