WILMINGTON — The Honorable Nathan Cook was sworn in for his first term as vice chancellor of the Court of Chancery on Thursday in a small, private ceremony at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center.
He is the 44th judicial officer appointed pursuant to the Delaware Constitution in the court’s 230-year history.
Vice Chancellor Cook was joined at the ceremony by his wife, Christine. He fills the position of Vice Chancellor Joseph Slights III, who retired from the bench in May.
Prior to joining the court, the vice chancellor was the managing partner of Block & Leviton’s Delaware office. His practice focused on trial and appellate litigation relating to Delaware corporations and alternative entities.
