Chipman, 83 MILFORD - Clifford Thomas Chipman, departed this life Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at his home. Mr. Chipman was born March 31, 1929 in Laurel, Del. to the late George T. Chipman and Edna (Calhoun) Chipman - Eskridge who owned and operated the Chipman Grist Mill on Chipman Pond in Laurel. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean war and was stationed in Heidleburg, Germany. After an honorable discharge from the military he worked as a television sales and service technician for Laurel TV as well as maintaining his own repair shop in his home. He liked to collect old radios. He also had an avid interest in aviation and enjoyed going to Laurel Airport to watch the planes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Frances Tyndall in 1966. He is survived by his wife, Edna Clendaniel Chipman of Milford; three daughters, Linda D. Boda and husband John of Laurel, Gail L. Thomas of Wilmington, Sandra J. Brown of Milton; two sons, David M. Morris and wife Julie of Arlington, Va., and Clifford A. Chipman and wife Terah of Georgetown.; seven grandchildren, Robert E. Langley and wife Trisha of King George, Va., Aaron T. Langley of Wilmington, W. Carroll McDorman and wife Christy of Easton, Md., Matthew S. McDorman and wife Betsy of Laurel, Heather M. Klein of Milton, Brian Joseph and wife Tiffany of Georgetown, Ellen Joseph Smith and husband Andrew of Quantico, Va.; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, George E. Chipman of Wilmington and Glen Eskridge and wife Linda of Seaford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Fleischauer Funeral Home in Greenwood. Interment was in Ellendale Cemetery, Ellendale.
