Clemens: Americans being blindsided by false narratives

Posted

Differentiating political fact from fiction is easy once one takes the time to fact check just about every subject the president talks about. We need more garbage trucks to gather up his lies and dump them, for our peace of mind. In contrast, we need increases in electric vehicles to save us from all the toxic pollution that is being “allowed” to be spewed here on planet Earth. No wonder Elon Musk is gearing up to live on the moon. Yes, we are on the wrong track in America, which not too long ago had governmental leadership that aspired to be that beacon of light for a more equitable nation, one that other countries would hopefully emulate. Some of us idealists still strongly believe that we are all in this together.

Instead, an emerging corporate dictatorship continues to gain more power by buying greedy, corrupt politicians who will make sure they avoid fair taxation, which robs our social safety nets here and abroad of the resources needed to stay in existence. They are truly the real welfare cheats. Just ask the IRS workers.

The majority of the “very narcissistic” powermongers who sit around plotting for their own selfish motives in Congress only care about creating more wealth and power. Considering pathways to legal immigration would be too fair and potentially create a more equal power structure in the future.

Dissolving foreign aid to the U.S. Agency for International Development was a heartbreaker for us people who love people. We were helping individuals to eventually maximize their potential. And several research agencies here and abroad illustrate that illegal immigrants have less than half the criminal records than naturalized citizens do. That is a fact, Mr. President. Enough of the false talk!

Too many people have only learned to dislike different groups of people based on mistruths about them. This false propaganda results in prejudice, often followed by discrimination that creates a bitter world. It is a bitter pill to swallow to observe this administration feeding it to us day after day.
