Cape Henlopen 48, Sussex Tech 32: The Vikings (14-3) won their third straight game and remained in first place in the Henlopen North.
The Ravens (13-4) had an eight-game winning streak snapped.
College lacrosse
WOMEN, Delaware 7, Temple 4: Sophomore goalie Kate Brewster made a career-high 20 saves, the most for the Blue Hens since 2003, as Delaware won its season opener.
Junior Christine Long posted her fifth career hat trick to go along with an assist for four points while classmates Claire D’Antonio tallied three points on two goals and an assist as Delaware won its opener for the third time in the last four years.
College track & field
Wesley’s Sloboh sets mark: Wesley College’s Evelina Sloboh broke the school record and cruised to the gold medal in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.60 seconds at the Navy Select Invitational on Friday.
The Wesley men swept the sprints at the Navy Select. Kai Cole won the 60- and 200-meter dashes at the meet. Cole finished the 60 in 6.91 seconds and the 200 in 21.82 seconds.
Thomas Kalieta Jr. picked up a win in the 400-meter dash (47.97 seconds) and teamed up with TySean Cousar, John Heriot and Jordan Dillard to win the 4x400-meter relay (3:24.77). Javonte Freeman won the 60-meter hurdles (8.48 seconds).
