Christopher Charles Lyn Klase passed away suddenly on April 14, 2014. He was 22. Chris was a childhood cancer survivor. He attended Polytech High School where he studied welding, and graduated from Smyrna High School in 2011. He had been a wrestler and football player, and enjoyed bull riding, fishing, and hunting. He was a member of St. Polycarp Catholic Church, Smyrna. Most recently, he had been employed as a welder and metal fabricator with Joule, and he had previously worked for Power Electronics and R.C. Fabricators. He was preceded in death by his baby brother, Brandon Lee Klase; his uncles, Dana Klase and Chuck Alexander; maternal grandmother, Peggy Alexander; and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Helen Klase. He is survived by his high-school sweetheart, Amanda Terrell, whom he married, and their loving daughters, Laney and Sadie Jean. Chris is also survived by his parents, Charles and Thelma Klase; and his birth-mother, Peggy Lynn Alexander; his two loving sisters, Brittany Klase and Sarah Bain; and his nephew Noah Bain. He will be missed by his uncle, Bill Alexander; many cousins, and friends, especially Brian Alexander and his best friend, Ronnie Carroll. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at St. Polycarp Catholic Church, Ransom Lane and South St., Smyrna. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna.
