Rehoboth Beach - Charlotte left us on May 2, 2015 to be with her daughter, "Meg" who went off to see the wizard this past August. Charlotte is survived by Ray, her husband of sixty years; their son, David and David's wife Sherry; and three grandsons, Ryan, Sawyer and Emory. She is also survived by her brother, Lawrence Lapetina; her two sisters, June Riggin and Dolores Briody; and an extended number of nieces, nephews and loved ones. While Charlotte's life was characterized by a needed and willing devotion to her family, she secretly envied spontaneity, recently riding the "Sea Dragon" with her grandchildren despite her physical ailments. Those that knew her perceived her as strong and tough, but she was actually delicate. Charlotte, however, demanded the best for her family, inspiring and if need be, demanding perseverance to pursue life's opportunities. Although Charlotte always wanted better for her family, it was the simple pleasures like baking a cake for someone's wedding, walking the boardwalk, or waking early to make chocolate-chip pancakes for her family that filled her with sincere happiness. Her mindful oversight is already greatly missed, while her last words, "I love you all" will continue to hearten her family. The Family invites friends to help celebrate Charlotte's life at an open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on June 6, 2015 at her home at 38182 Robinsons Drive (aka 26 Robinsons Drive), Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. In lieu of Flowers, the Family suggests a donation to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1304, Millsboro, DE 19966, ATTN: Lisa Green. Arrangements were made by the Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
