MILFORD - Charlotte Jane "Mimi" Wagner, 92, of Milford, died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was born in Sunbury, Pa. the daughter of the late John P. and Margaret Rebekah (Todd) Ettien. Charlotte was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Florida Southern University at the age of 73 with a bachelors degree in Liberal Studies. Charlotte's whole life was devoted to her family. She and her husband Robert Wagner, Jr. were always quite involved with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the P.T.A. and was instrumental in starting a Girl Scout Troop in Gloucester, Va., which continues today. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Gloucester as well as the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church, Lincoln and attended Faith Community Church, Dover. Charlotte and her husband enjoyed camping with their family and they loved to travel, especially to Europe. She was an animal lover, and was a supporter of many animal related organizations. She also was an avid supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert S. Wagner, Jr. in 1995; two grandsons, Michael John and Matthew J. Shockley; a great grandson, Brandon Michael Hastings; and a brother, Todd Ettien. She is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Daniel and her husband Eric, of Milford, Margaret F. Wagner, of Milford, and Charlotte Carey and her husband Henry, of Dover; one son, Robert S. Wagner, III of Cape Coral, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Dawn Hastings, Allan Wagamon, Susan Hoffman, Joseph Shockley, Rachel Kent, Megan Tulip and Mark Wagner; as well as 16 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Charlotte's Life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Lincoln United Methodist Church, 2nd and Butler Street, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, 2nd Floor, Bethedsa, MD 20814 or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
