DOVER – The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for Harvest Ridge Winery Oct. 18 at 447 Westville Road in Marydel.
Chamber members and friends joined owner, Chuck Nunan, and the Harvest Ridge Winery team to celebrate its 10-year anniversary and 30plus medals won this year at international wine competitions.
Mr. Nunan, founder, began making wine in his basement in 1995. He was inspired by a trip to South Carolina to take his love of wine and winemaking to the next level. This led to the purchase of Marydel land, originally named Harvest Ridge.
The winery is under leadership of son, Chuck Nunan, director of operations.
“We have over 20 wines on our wine list covering every pallet. From dry red drinkers with our award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon to our infamous Blue Hen Blue. Wineries can be intimidating to some people, so we strive to give every customer the Harvest Ridge experience as soon as they walk through the door,” said Alexis Nunan, Delaware tasting room manager and sales director.
