DOVER — The Excellence in Education Fund, administered by the CenDel Foundation, will award over $15,000 in grants in 2022.
Applications are now being accepted from schools, nonprofits and civic/community organizations for programs that help to foster workforce development initiatives in Kent County.
To be eligible, the organizations must be public institutions and qualified 501(C)3 nonprofits with proper documentation of nonprofit status from the IRS.
Grant requests must be submitted on a 2022 Excellence in Education application form by mail prior to or on June 30 by 4 p.m.
Application forms are available at cendelfoundation.org, and can be found under the “Apply for a grant” tab. Grant recipients will be announced in the fall.
The Excellence in Education Fund was created in 2019 to foster workforce development initiatives in Kent County with contributions from Statewide Workforce Development, Kent Economic Partnership, Greater Kent Committee, Delaware State News and the Kent County community.
Since 2008, the foundation has distributed more than $3 million in grants and funding to a variety of organizations in central Delaware.
