Spring has finally arrived! The daffodils and cherry trees are all in full bloom. The days are becoming longer, and everyone is eager to be more active. Spring is always a great opportunity for change, whether it’s dusting away the cobwebs in your home or making some changes in your lifestyle. The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce invites you to find some opportunities to change your life for the better at their 24th Annual 55 Plus Expo coming Wednesday, April 16, at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort–Rollins Center, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The CDCC’s 55 Plus Expo is presented to connect local businesses that support and cater to the needs of Delaware’s fastest growing population (the 55+ demographic), with those who need and enjoy their services. This popular event has been a strong pillar in facilitating the lives of and caring for Delaware’s respected senior community, in a fun, engaging and practical way. This event also provides an opportunity for businesses from Delaware and nearby states to introduce and showcase their goods and services to the 55+ population and their caregivers.
Attending this free event guarantees an exciting day with more than 50 different vendors covering various aspects of life for aging comfortably and assisting those in the role of caregiver. Attendees can expect to speak to industry experts, health care professionals and representatives from various businesses and organizations, ask questions, and gather information about the products and services that interest them and their loved ones. Also, you never know what goodies you might win to take home with you!
Keep your eyes open for the lineup of presentations and demonstrations featured throughout the day. Guests can receive free on-site health screenings and gain information from the Wellness Center and Caregivers Support Exhibition. The Steppin’ Seniors of the Modern Maturity Center will also be present to bring smiles and active energy. The CDCC emphasizes that the resources available at this event are not exclusively for people 55 and older — anyone can find value in attending this informative expo because we all know someone who is 55+, plus no one should wait until they’re 55 to put together a plan to maintain an active lifestyle as they age. The CDCC wants to help you and your loved ones alleviate some of the worry, stress and uncertainty of the future by offering this event to help you simplify your checklist toward living your best life.
A few vendor spaces are still available, so if your business is interested in reaching a more mature, active customer base, this is the event for you to be a part of. The impressive Rollins Center at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort is the perfect backdrop for your vendor display, and there is always an impressive turnout for this community-favorite event. Event attendees want to talk to vendors from a variety of industries including health care, insurance, home improvements & services, financial, entertainment, travel, fitness & nutrition, in-home care, retirement living communities, beauty & fashion, and that’s just a few of them. Take a minute to think if your business has an interest in reaching Delaware’s largest population with the highest disposable income compared to other age groups. Give us a call if you are interested in being a part of the excitement.
The CDCC would like to thank their sponsors: Bayhealth, Bally’s Dover Casino Resort, Coastal Bath Co., Connolly Dermatology, Delaware Health and Social Services - Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities, Delaware Medicare Assistance Bureau, Dover Post, Highmark Delaware, and Evergreen Post Acute / Bay Terrace Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Without their generous support, this event would not be possible.
No registration is required to attend. For more information, please visit www.cdcc.net/events/chamber-events or give the CDCC office a call at 302-734-7513.
