Catherine Annamae Taylor, 83

BRIDGEVILLE - Catherine Annamae Taylor, of Trinity Church Road, departed her earthly life on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, in her home surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was 83. She was born on March 6, 1925, in Bridgeville, she was the daughter of the late Daisey Dorman and Nickolas Sheppard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Hill and Nelson Massenburg; a daughter, Helen Esther Hill Cuffee; four sisters; and two brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Edward Raymond Taylor; a son, William Robert Lee (Barbara) Hill of Bridgeville; two daughters, Emma Jean Kane of Seaford and Rosa Elaine Scott of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one sister, Pauline Teagle of Bridgeville; one son-in-law, Anthony Cuffee Sr. of Greenwood; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Williams Chapel Church, Bridgeville. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Williams Chapel Church, Bridgeville, where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in the Middleford Cemetery, Seaford. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook may be signed at www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Seaford.
