Wilhelm, 84 DOVER - Catherine Ann Wilhelm passed away on Tues., July 9, 2013 at Delmar Villa Assisted Living, Delmar, Md. She was affectionately known as "Kay" to her family and friends. Mrs. Wilhelm was born Nov. 15, 1928 in Caledonia, N.Y. to the late George A. Cooney and Ann E. Gougherty Cooney. She graduated from Nazareth College in 1950 with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crafts, but especially loved spending time with her family. She had a deep faith in the Lord. Mrs. Wilhelm was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Dover where she was also member of the Keenagers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Wilhelm in 2009; and her brother, James Cooney. Catherine and Louis were married for 57 years at the time of his death. She is survived by her three sons, James Wilhelm and his wife Sally of Fairmont, W. Va., John Wilhelm of Eagleville, Tenn., Christopher Wilhelm and his wife Kim of Millersville, Md.; four daughters, Cathy Marketto and her husband Ralph of Magnolia, Del., Beth Jones and her husband Bob of Snow Hill, Md., Mary Bowie of Roanoke, Va. and Karen Carter and her husband Jim of Baltimore, Md.; and her sister in-law, Jeanne Wilhelm of Dover. She has 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tues., July 16, 2013 at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover, DE 19901. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover, DE 19901.
