Gordon, 74 CAMBRIDGE - Carroll Adams Gordon of Venice, Fla., formerly of Cambridge and Denton, Md., died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at the Venice Regional Medical Center in Venice, Fla. Born in Easton, Md. on Oct. 9th, 1939. Mr. Gordon was the son of the late Abner Earl Gordon and Lida Adams Gordon. He graduated from South Dorchester High School in 1957. Mr. Gordon was a computer programmer. He had worked for Preston Trucking in Preston, Md., Red Star Express in Auburn, N.Y., the U.S. Mint and the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, D.C., Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Md., and the Kelly Company in Denton. He worked for Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington from 1990 to 2000. He and his wife, Hope L. Gordon, moved to Venice, Fla. in 2003. He was predeceased by his second wife, Roberta A. Gordon, on Aug. 30th, 2000. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons, Mike Thetford and his wife, Amy, of Greensboro, Md., Vincent Gordon and his wife, Lori, of Church Creek, Md., and Ray Gordon of Elkton, Md.; five grandchildren, Charity, April, Desiree', Faith, and Jacob; four great-grandchildren; and several cousins from the Adams family. Funeral services will be held at 12 o'clock on Friday, Feb. 7th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 11 until 12 before the service. The interment will be in White Marsh Cemetery in Trappe, Md. The Rev. Robert Gribbon will officiate. For online condolences, please visit moorefuneralhomepa.com.
