Georgetown - Carolyn M. Rust died at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Wm. Oscar Messick and Marion Whaley Messick. She was a sewing machine operator and she and her late husband owned a trailer park. Mrs. Rust was serious card player and loved playing cards with her friends. She also enjoyed Bingo and was a Red Hatter. She was preceded in death by her son, Lester Steven Rust and husband Lester W. Rust. Also, one grandchild Matthew Steven Rust and her siblings: Wm. Frank Messick, Florence Carmean and Doris Warrington. She is survived by her daughter Karen Conaway and husband Charles and one grandchild Gwendolyn Conaway. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 1:00PM at Union Cemetery Georgetown, DE. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Service, Georgetown, DE.
