SALISBURY - Carolyn Bennett Kniceley died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018. Recently she had been under the care of Coastal Hospice. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Alvie S. Bennett and Virginia Wilson Bennett. A graduate of Salisbury State Teachers College, Class of 1955, she was a substitute teacher and led GED classes. She was employed as Volunteer Coordinator at Deer's Head Hospital, as well as an employee of Rayner Bros. Nurseries. She a leader of the Christian Women's Club and was a founding member of the Young Married Couples Sunday School class at Asbury United Methodist Church. In the latter part of her life, she opened Golden Voyage Gift Shop in Fenwick Island. Later she ran the Pine Bluff Village shop in Salisbury. She is survived by her son, Bill, of Pahoa, Hawaii; her daughter, Lisa of Bethany Beach; her sister, Joni Jones; and several nieces. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Harbor Pointe. A Celebration of Life will also be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at a location yet to be determined. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
