DOVER - Carl W. Parry Sr., of Tavares, Fla., was born Aug. 16, 1936, in Shamokin, Pa., and died on Sunday, June 8, 2014. He was retired from 30+ years of civil service at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was a dedicated to the service of others and gave freely of himself. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kay of Tavares; daughter, Kay Lynn Bright and husband Billy, of Magnolia; sons, John Parry and his wife Heather, of Ocean City, Md., Carl W. Parry, Jr. and his wife Donna, of Felton, and Jamie A. Parry and his wife Amber, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; grandchildren, Rachael, Seth and wife Kaitlynn, Julianna, Ella, Ashlyn, Coady, Bailey, and Rees; and great-grandchildren, Carson, Ethan, and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. Parry and Catherine E. Parry; his brother, Robert Parry; and his sister, Jane A. Savastano; his son-in-law, Tim Pettit; and his granddaughter, Amanda Parry. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Church of the Nazarene, 818 N. Little Creek Rd. Dover, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Church of the Nazarene for purchase of building materials on the mission field.
