CRISFIELD - Carl Phillip Johnson, of Crisfield, died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield. Born in Westover on Nov. 3, 1915, he was a son of the late Frank Dale and Mollie Ennis Johnson. He was a farmer and was retired from the former Mrs. Paul's Kitchens. He was a devoted member of Faith Fellowship Assembly of God and was a former member of the Evangelical Wesleyan Church. He loved his church community dearly. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Frances Swift Johnson of Crisfield; a daughter, Lynn Nelson of Crisfield; a son-in-law, Lonnie Nelson, of Marion; a daughter-in-law, Lottie McDorman of Crisfield; four grandchildren, Charles McDorman of Marion, Jordan Wayne Labo, Jr. of Whaleyville, Danielle Evans of Princess Anne, and Sarah Nelson of Marion; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Charles McDorman. He was the last surviving of his brothers and sisters, Benjamin, Ernest, Herman, Henry, and Vernon Johnson, Ethel Doyle, Laura Ruark, Letha Comegys, and Ida Johnson. A graveside funeral service officiated by Pastor's Terry Riggin and Al Hinson was held Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
