Carl Ivar Nilsson

MILFORD - Carl Ivar Nilsson died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Milford Center. Mr. Nilsson was born in Patchogue, N.Y., the son of the late Ivar and Frances Nilsson. Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for Pan American World Airways for 32 years. Carl was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Norman Nilsson. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Nilsson; three children, Lisa Cerar and her husband Jeffrey, Kenneth Nilsson and his wife Hannah, and Paul Nilsson and his wife Theresa; four granddaughters, Mary and Ashley Nilsson and Abigail and Katie Nilsson; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Carl's Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Reformation Lutheran Church, 613 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Reformation Lutheran Church, 613 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
