Burnice 'Bernie' L. Landon Jr.
CAMBRIDGE - Burnice "Bernie" L. Landon Jr., 54, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 at his residence.
He was born in Cambridge on April 10, 1953 and was a son of the late Burnice L. and Gladys Willey Landon.
Mr. Landon graduated from Cambridge High School. He was a carpenter with Creative Custom Builders. On June 5, 1993 he married Shelly Adams.
Some of his hobbies were fishing, wood working, yard sales and he was an expert pool player.
He is survived by his wife, Shelly Landon of Rhodesdale; two daughters, Jamie Ellis and husband, Craig of Rhodesdale and Mary Abbott and husband, Winston of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Michael Ellis, Branden Abbott, Troy Abbott and Amanda Rhea; a brother-in-law, the Rev. Kevin English of Cambridge; a niece, Melissa English and a nephew, Joel English and an aunt, Evelyn Trice of Cambridge.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Paige Landon English who passed away on May 21, 2005.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, at Bay Country Bible Church with the Rev. Kevin E. English officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bay Country Bible Church, 714 Locust St., Cambridge, MD 21613.
Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
