Burglary at Laurel business brings charges

LAUREL — A 30-year-old Laurel man was arrested and charged with offenses connected to a business burglary July 13, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Cpl. Amina Ali said.

Shawn Jones was taken into custody by the Laurel Police Department. He was wanted after Lake Shore Wine and Spirits at 30728 Sussex Highway was burglarized, Delaware State Police said.

Mr. Jones was charged with third-degree burglary, criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $3000 secured bond.
