Burglary and unlawful imprisonment in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN — A 19-year-old female was unlawfully imprisoned early Saturday morning during a burglary on Albury Avenue, Georgetown Police said.

According to authorities, officers were called to a residence and told that the female was asleep in her residence when an unknown male entered her bedroom. The male suspect then entered the victims bed and held his hand over the victim’s mouth. The victim was able to free herself and began to scream at which time the suspect fled the residence, police said.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 40’s, 180 to 200 pounds, some facial hair, wearing a white or light gray T-shirt and jeans.

Police said investigation continues and asked anyone with information to contact Detective Arnold at 856-6613.
