Bowers, 81 SUDLERSVILLE - Bryan J. 'Saw Mill' Bowers of Sudlersville, Md. died on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at Chester River Manorin Chestertown, Md. Born on April 28, 1931 in Barclay, Md., he was the son of the late William Bryan and Katie Thompson Bowers. Mr. Bowers was educated in Queen Anne's Co. Schools and was a lifelong resident of Queen Anne's County. He worked for Electric Union 21, then farmed and most recently worked as a self-employed carpenter. On March 10, 1956 he married his wife, Virginia. Mr. Bowers was a member of Rough Riders. He enjoyed camping, fishing, dancing, and his horse 'Thump'. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Danny Bowers and Dale Bowers both of Sudlersville, Md.; one daughter, Terry Bowers of Sudlersville, Md.; three sisters, Ida Mae Supers of Sudlersville, Md., Lavina B. Dulin of Centreville, Md. and Katherine B. Faulkner of Hartley, Del.; seven grandchildren, Amy, Richard, Roman, Jason, Brittany, Stephen and Brandy; and four great-grandchildren, Tre, Natalie, Brady and Harley. He was predeceased by one brother, Kenneth Bowers. Funeral services will be on Sunday, Oct., 21, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. 370 W. Cypress St. Millington, MD where relatives and friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Sudlersville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 61 Sudlersville, MD 21668. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.fhnfuneralhome.com
