SEAFORD — A 36-year-old Bridgeville man was arrested on multiple firearm-related felonies connected to a shooting at Meadowbridge Apartments on Feb. 11 and a traffic stop Saturday.
Seaford police said that Eric A. Jackson’s vehicle was seen leaving Meadowbridge Apartments at approximately 12:32 p.m. Saturday. A traffic stop was conducted, and Mr. Jackson was taken into custody without incident. A search of the suspect led to the discovery of eight bags of marijuana, weighing 46 grams, and a loaded 9 mm handgun, police said.
In connection with the shooting earlier this month, Mr. Jackson was charged with first-degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and disorderly conduct.
For the traffic stop, he was charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited (two counts), possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Mr. Jackson was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace and committed to the Department of Correction in lieu of $101,000 cash bail for the shooting and $100,000 cash bail for the firearm and marijuana recovery.
