Bose Demby Jr., 65

DOVER - Bose Demby Jr. of Dover departed this life, after a short illness, Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, in his home. He was 65.

Mr. Demby was born Sept. 16, 1941, son of the late Bose Demby Sr. and the late Ray J. Demby, who died Nov. 7.

He was employed as a truck driver for several years until his health began to fail.

Mr. Demby was a happy-go-lucky fellow, and everyone enjoyed him once they got to know him. In his spare time, he loved going to yard sales.

His is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn L. Demby of Dover, a daughter, Barbara Nixon of Smyrna; four stepchildren, Trey Townsend, Chris Townsend, Donna Jo Ermis and Kyle Cahall; his mother-in-law, Grace Quillen; a brother and a sister-in-law, Linford and Louise S. Demby of Cheswold; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Vermon and George Sr. Hill of Quinton, N.J., and Marvella Demby, and friend José Torres, both of Camden; an aunt, Bernice McClain of Dover; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be private.
