DOVER — Rep.-elect Lisa Blunt Rochester announced two key staff appointments Thursday. Minh Ta will serve as chief of staff for the newly elected Democrat, while Sylvia Banks will be state director.
Mr. Ta most recently worked as chief of staff for Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wis., managing her offices in Washington and Milwaukee for five years. Prior to that, he was legislative director for Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn, for four years.
Ms. Banks was manager of the Corporate Contributions Program for the DuPont Company. She was also a founding trustee of the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League and has served on the board of directors of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and the Delaware Grantmakers Association.
In a statement, Rep.-elect. Blunt Rochester said Mr. Ta offers “experience and in-depth knowledge of Capitol Hill” and Ms. Banks brings “passion and commitment to serving our communities.”
Rep.-elect. Blunt Rochester was elected to her first term last month and will be sworn in Jan. 3 as Delaware’s lone member of the House of Representatives.
